School Council
School councillors are elected to a term of office for two years. Elections take place in March of each year when half of the Council representation is elected. They have the chief responsibility for the administration of the school and its policies. The Council consists of elected parents, community members, Department of Education members and Principal.
These members work on various sub committees such as:
- Curriculum
- Environmental
- Parents & friends (including Fundraising) and
- Finance
Councilors are there for you to share your ideas with about our school, its development, its future, its resources and the school policies.
An updated list of School Councilors is published each year immediately after the annual elections and recorded in the school directory. The School Council extends the opportunity for wider participation by parents through various sub-committees. Parents and Guardians are very much encouraged to join any committee that interests them.
The General meeting is held in March each year. The School Council and Principal’s Report are presented along with financial statements of the preceding year and proposed budget for the current year.
Parents have the opportunity to voice their opinions on school matters and question the past or proposed activities.
All Parents and Guardians are welcome to attend. Summaries of School Council meetings are provided in the newsletters following each meeting.

Sometimes the SRC joins us with Fundraising Committee to create extra support for school events. Events have included Disco, Special days, Popcorn day, Colour Run etc.
